Arturo Cardenaz Leal's female companion Sandra Maricela Escobar had cocaine dealer written all over her apellido when Leal's Dodge Durango was pulled over for a traffic violation. A drug dog was drawn to part of the vehicle and the two of them were arrested. After police obtained a search warrant for the car both were busted for possession of less than a pound of cocaine. Their stash weighed out to 8 ounces and after being booked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) put a detainer on Leal.
