Owners of the El Centenario Bar in Mission, Texas Tereso Murrillo Olivo and Nancy Olivo were convicted of human smuggling charges in January of 2011. Tereso Olivo was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison and two years of supervised release. Nancy Olivo was sentenced to two years of probation, two months of house arrest, and is scheduled to be deported for being an illegal alien. A third person connected to the incident Beleal Garcia Gonzalez was sentenced in September of 2010 on 3 counts of sex trafficking and 6 counts of harboring illegal aliens.

The El Centenario Bar had been pimping out girls as young as 14 years old to older men after luring them there with the promise of high paying waitress jobs. Another bar called El Paraiso is also said have been involved.
