Hair stylist to the stars Maria Gabriela Hashemipour plead guilty to credit card fraud and other theft related charges for ripping off celebrities who employed her services. Famous victims include Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway, Melanie Griffith, and Penelope Cruz all of which had their credit cards charged thousands of dollars after having their hair done at Hashemipour's Chez Gabriela Studio in Beverly Hills, California. In addition to her victims list of famous actresses she also ripped off jewelry designer Loree Rodkin and several unknown people.

Hashemipour now faces up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and has been ordered to pay back her victims an unknown amount said to be around $1 million. 40 other charges were dropped and she also faces deportation to Mexico upon her release because she is an illegal alien who lied about being from Spain to obtain a US passport.
